PatchWorld Halloween Festival: Monsters, Magic & Mayhem in VR!
By PatchXR 2nd of November 2025
Halloween in PatchWorld isn’t just a day — it’s a dimension.
For three days, our community of mad scientists, sonic witches, and musical skeletons filled the virtual skies with laughter, chaos, and sound. From building digital monsters to jamming in haunted worlds, the PatchWorld Halloween Festival was the perfect mix of creativity, weirdness, and pure fun.

Trick-or-Treat: 30 Vibz for All Patchers!
As our way of saying Happy Halloween, we sent 30 Vibz to every user in the PatchXR community!
Whether you’ve been patching since day one or just joined the fun, this little trick-or-treat gift was our way to spread some magic — and spark a little creative mischief.
Vibz, our in-app currency, lets you grab gear from fellow patchers, use AI tools to generate new sounds, or unlock exclusive features inside PatchWorld. This Halloween drop was another way to celebrate the power of collective imagination.
DJ Patchy Live from the Halloween Cauldron
If you thought Halloween was just about spooky vibes, DJ Patchy had other plans.
His special set took place in a brand-new Halloween Jam World, a complete transformation of PatchWorld’s iconic Shroom Hill stage — reimagined by Actiondyne and Oekshum into a surreal, glowing cauldron of sound.
All the mushrooms were swapped for pumpkins, eerie light rays, and ghostly décor. A hand-sculpted cauldron pulsed at the center, surrounded by skeleton musicians and flickering visual effects crafted by Hanumanatee. Every surface responded to the beat, wrapping players in an atmosphere thick with Halloween energy.
As the music kicked in, patchers jammed inside transparent instruments, dancing through see-through bubble players and reactive synths. This was VR music performance at its finest — proof that the future of live music is already here.
“Every visual element, every spatial detail worked in harmony with the music,” said one attendee. “It felt like Halloween had come alive in VR.”

Actiondyne’s Haunted House: The Heart of the Scare
At the center of the festival stood Actiondyne’s Haunted House, the beating (or perhaps undead) heart of PatchWorld’s Halloween celebration. Designed as a central hub world, this spooky island connected every part of the event — from the jam worlds to community-made devices and workshops.
Actiondyne modeled the house, island, and trees directly in Gravity Sketch, importing everything straight into PatchWorld without ever touching a PC. He then decorated it entirely in-VR, weaving together AI-generated pumpkins, zombies, and vines with hand-patched cables.
Inside, players found portals to Victor’s monster physics lab, Leonardo’s Halloween special Worlds, and even Oekshum’s jump-scare instrument. The house was full of surprises — a photo booth on a zombie’s shoulder, floating pumpkin rides, and a secret microphone that distorted voices into ghostly whispers.
“I wanted to make a place where people could come, explore, and feel like Halloween had taken over PatchWorld,” said Actiondyne.

Victor’s Physics Lab: Bringing the Dead to Motion
The festival kicked off with Victor’s Physics Lab, where mad science met pure chaos.
In this special workshop, participants learned to use PatchWorld’s new Physics Blocks, bringing ragdolls, animated limbs, and spooky creatures to life.
After a quick demo covering joints, pistons, and parameters like mass, drag, friction, and spring tension, patchers unleashed their imagination — kit-bashing together ragdoll creatures of every shape and nightmare. From eight-legged spiders to lopsided goblins, each builder wired their monster to twin joystick controls with a spring-boost “panic button.”
The plan was simple: build fast, then race to the finish line.
The reality? Glorious chaos. Skeletons break-danced, goblins cartwheeled, and more than one creature launched itself into orbit. The multiplayer arena exploded in laughter as patchers discovered — through trial, error, and joyful failure — the fundamentals of motion, balance, and constraint.
“The mad scientist vibes were off the charts,” said one participant. “My creature couldn’t walk straight, but it danced better than me.”
By the end, one scrappy abomination actually crossed the finish line, earning eternal bragging rights!

Leonardo’s Halloween Worlds & Toys
No PatchWorld Halloween would be complete without the mad inventions of Tangent (a.k.a. Leonardo Bjork) — our beloved year-round skeleton patcher and master of weird gadgets.
For the event, Leonardo created three Halloween-themed musical worlds:
The “Addams Family Orchestration”, is a full-on mechanical band that plays itself inside PatchWorld. Built entirely with Jolt cables, sequencers, and motion triggers, this animated orchestra performs the iconic Addams Family tune with tapping skeleton feet and flickering lights, perfectly synced to the beat.

He also made some fun devices: two magic wands and one mischievous “gun:
The Bat Wand fires squeaky bats that flap away and vanish in glowing dust when they hit something.
The Pumpkin Pop Wand spawns up to three jack-o’-lanterns with tiny fuses that light, burn down, and pop into shimmering sparks.
And the Pumpkin Breath Gun — well, that one speaks for itself: pull the trigger and a pumpkin head screams a gust of ghostly steam your way.
A Festival to Remember
Our Halloween Festival showcased what makes the PatchXR community so special: creativity, experimentation, and a shared love for pushing boundaries.
From the playful physics experiments in Victor’s Lab to the transcendent energy of DJ Patchy’s performance, these events demonstrated the incredible range of experiences possible in virtual space.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined — the builders, racers, dancers, and dreamers who brought their unique energy to the celebration.
Special shoutouts to Victor for leading the monster-building mayhem, Actiondyne for crafting the haunted world, Leonardo for his magical toys, and DJ Patchy for that unforgettable jam!.
💫 What’s Next?
Halloween may be over, but creativity never dies in PatchXR.
