What Is the Genie Box?
The Genie Box is not an AI menu or a background service.
It is a multiplayer instrument that you can use together in a multiplayer session.
Like a genie summoned from a lamp, it materializes content on demand. Instantly, collaboratively, and exactly where it is needed. Sounds, images, objects, and entire environments and skybox appear directly inside the live virtual world, ready to be used, played, or transformed.
By embedding AI generation inside PatchWorld, the Genie Box removes the traditional creative loop. No leaving the environment. No opening external software. No exporting and re-importing files.
Creation happens in place, as part of the performance.
Four Ways to Create with AI:
The Genie Box currently supports four types of AI generation. Each one is designed to spark creativity during jams, world-building sessions, or live performances.
Text to Audio
Generate production-ready sounds, loops, and one-shots on the fly.
Ask for a “deep snare oneshot,” “typewriter percussion loop,” or “ghostly vocal texture,” and the sound appears instantly, ready to trigger inside PatchWorld instruments.
Tip: adding the word “oneshot” to your prompt often produces especially punchy results, perfect for samplers and rhythm devices.
Text to Image
Create textures, visuals, posters, or conceptual imagery in seconds.
Whether you need a cracked marble floor, glitchy synth visuals, or surreal stage elements, images appear instantly and can be used as props, references, or visual components.
Text to 3D Model
Generate 3D objects directly inside the world.
From “rusty sci-fi door” to “floating crystal” or “retro arcade cabinet,” models spawn directly into PatchWorld. During one Patchathon, creator Actiondyne generated hundreds of sci-fi parts with the Genie Box and used them to build multiple fully realized space stations, all made from AI-generated meshes.
Text to Skybox
Wrap your entire world in a new atmosphere.
Alien landscapes, underwater domes, cyberpunk skylines. A single prompt can instantly transform the environment around the jam, making scene changes part of the performance itself.
